Campaign Update - We’re giving away beefsteak!
March 24, 2022

Taffy Howard for Congress

How would you like to WIN 50 lbs of South Dakota beef? No cost to you!

We’re holding a giveaway! More details below.

Agriculture contributes more than $645 million to the state’s tax revenues and provides an economic impact of over $21 billion per year in South Dakota, making it our state’s number one industry.

Not only does the industry provide us with food and revenue, but it also provides an estimated 115,000 jobs for our families.

Did you know that South Dakota farmers plant more than 4 million acres of corn each year? And corn isn’t only found on the dinner table – it is used for practically everything, including plastic, ethanol fuel, soda, and more.

We also produce the second-most sunflower seed and oil in the entire country. (Fun fact: Each sunflower can grow up to 2,000 seeds!)

Each year, our ranchers and cattlemen raise around 3.7 million cattle. Do you know which state also has the greatest number of cows per person? You guessed it! South Dakota.

And thanks to our friends at Amdahl Angus and Hereford, we’re giving away some of that South Dakota beef! CLICK HERE to win 20lbs of steak and 30lb of hamburger from some of South Dakota’s top cattle breeders! This 100% purebred Angus and Hereford package is worth over $400!

It’s free to enter, so be sure to add your name to our giveaway for a chance to win some of the best beef in the country!

Our livestock and crops are worth bragging about. However, as prices rise, America’s ranchers aren’t getting the money they need to keep their businesses afloat.

While 80% of the beef market is dominated by only FOUR companiesRanchers-Cattleman Action Legal Fund has pointed out that meat packers are seeing extravagant increases, yet farmers and ranchers face “unjustly discriminatory and monopolistic practices.”

South Dakota farmers and ranchers deserve protection from those attempting to control the market and rob these families of a generational heritage.

I am committed to ensuring that American farmers are also protected from outside competitors, which is why I am a proponent of the Country-of-Origin Labeling. Agriculture is not only important to our state, but also invaluable to our country.

Now, more than ever, it is critical that we protect our agricultural industry.

Support our local ranchers by entering our giveaway and sharing it with your friends!

The deadline to enter is May 1st, and registration begins TODAY. Enter now for a chance to win!

And after you enter, will you help me defend South Dakota farmers and ranchers by helping me give them a voice in Congress?

Some of you are able to give $1000 or $500, while others may be more comfortable with $500 or $50. No matter the amount, your donation will help us keep momentum in the final months of this race.

As your next Congresswoman, not only will I be a voice for the ag community, but I will also be a voice for YOU! It’s time to stop talking about draining the swamp and elect people who will actually get it done.
